Yesterday saw the closing of the incredible Kernow Jamboree. We at 1st St. Minver Scouts enjoyed an incredible week with just under 2,000 people on site. A chance for Scouts to meet and become friends with others from as far as New Zealand, and a chance for ‘old timers’ like me to catch up with Scouting friends who I’ve known for years. What an incredible experience for all!

Every one of our Scouts was absolutely fantastic and made the most of every opportunity presented to them this week.

As the ‘oldie’ of the St. Minver team, may I take this opportunity to thank my colleagues, who are also friends, for their dedication to Scouting and our young people. All have worked incredibly hard all day, every day to prepare, cook, serve, wash up, encourage, join in with, listen to, talk with, sing with, dance with our Scouts EVERY DAY.
