The opening of the St Minver Community Hub marked a proud and heartfelt moment for the local community, bringing together residents, volunteers, and supporters to celebrate a space designed to serve and connect people for years to come.
The new hub stands not only as a practical and welcoming facility but also as a lasting tribute to Kate Bailey, in whose memory the building has been dedicated.
We were honoured to welcome Kate’s family and friends to the opening ceremony. Their presence added a special meaning to the day.

The event itself was filled with a sense of celebration and optimism. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the new facilities, which will host a range of activities, events, and services aimed at benefiting people of all ages. From social gatherings to support groups, the hub is set to become a focal point for connection and collaboration in the Parishes of St Minver Lowlands, St Minver Highlands and the surrounding area.
Speeches highlighted the dedication and hard work that went into bringing the project to life, with thanks extended to everyone involved in making the vision a reality. There was a shared recognition that the hub represents not just a building, but a commitment to strengthening community ties and supporting one another.
As the doors officially opened, there was a strong sense that this was just the beginning. St Minver Community Hub will continue to grow and evolve, shaped by the people who use it and the memories created within its walls.
