They witnessed the recycling trucks emptying their loads & how the item’s are sorted & what happens to it all!  They all were astounded at the amount of plastic recycling  & especially milk cartons!

Did you know: 

• recycling one plastic bottle can save enough energy to power a 60 watt lightbulb for 6 hours
• glass is infinitely recyclable 
• each year the amount of waste electrical & electronic equipment (like computers, tv’s) generated in the UK could fill Wembley Stadium 6 times over

They then had great fun in the activities room making items out of junk.
